It might interest you to know that all of my childhood years were spent in Kenya, the son of missionary parents. Most of those years were in very remote areas on the edge of the Maasai Mara, miles and hours from any modern convenience. It was an amazing childhood and has played a significant role in shaping my world view. I picked up my photography hobby from my dad at a very early age. I hope you enjoy what you see here. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm just a guy with a hobby. If you're the type who likes labels I suppose "photo hobby enthusiast" is pretty accurate.

For nearly 40 years I have used Canon equipment, starting with film and then moving through several iterations of Canon DSLRs. For the past few years it's been the 5D Mark III. At the end of 2016 I decided it was time to make a change. Over the last couple years I have rented several mirrorless camera systems. I was looking for something a little lighter and less bulky.

By the end of 2016 I had sold all of my Canon gear. I began 2017 as a Fujifilm fan, once my Fujifilm X-T2 arrived. With all of my Canon gear sold, I was able to get a full complement of Fujifilm lenses and accessories. I’ve since upgraded to an X-T3. I also love my recently acquired Leica Q-P.

It's a new era for me. I am more interested in street photography than I used to be. My current line up of camera gear is the prefect setup to try my hand at more street photography while still enjoying the other things that catch my eye.

I rarely sell my work. It's a hobby. I don't want to ruin the fun I have playing with my cameras by making it an actual job. HOWEVER, I do donate images on museum grade canvas wraps to charity auctions.

If you're interested in something you see for your charity fundraiser, please contact me. We can talk about your charity, what types of charities I support and see if working together is a good match.

UPDATE TO IMAGE SALES: January 15.2021

Prints: If you see something that might look nice on your walls, you can now make that happen! I never made any attempts to sell my work before 2021. As I said above, I thought the amount of work would destroy my love of the hobby. With lots of time on my hands as COVID raged in 2020, I began considering selling some images. My research lead me to Picfair.com. This website takes the grunt work out of it. I submit the images, they do the rest. It’s a curated set of images so there are lots of things I post on Instagram and here on my blog that are not for sale on Picfair. If you see an image that you’ve seen on my other sites that’s not here, let me know and I’ll do my best to get it set up on my Picfair store so you can have a copy for your walls.
